An international seminar on Buddhism will take place in Hanoi on April 6-7, as part of activities hosted by Sri Lanka and India to celebrate the 2600 th anniversary of Buddha’s Enlightenment.

Being jointly organised by the Embassy of India in Vietnam, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, the event will draw the participation of Buddhism experts from Vietnam, India, Cambodia, China, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

Themed “Cultural interaction between India and Vietnam based on Buddhist history, art, literature and philosophy”, the event will focus on discussions about Vietnam as a cradle of Buddhism, Buddhism philosophy and thought, and artistic expression of Buddhism heritages./.
