The 2012 Vietnam International Mobile Conference and Exhibition will take place in Hanoi from October 18-21, with many leading domestic and international mobile and telecommunications companies taking part. The event will be organised by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC).

Speaking at a press conference before the exhibition, the Director of the Centre for Press and International Communications Cooperation at the MIC, Nguyen Truong Son, said the event will showcase some of the world’s most outstanding and innovative mobile and communications products and services.

The highlight is a conference with the theme ‘the future for Vietnam ’s mobile sector’, to be held on October 19, with representatives from MIC and top telecommunications operators in Vietnam and around the world in attendance.

The conference will focus on Vietnam ’s policies to accommodate the telecommunications sector, the development strategies of mobile operators and investors, solutions to promote 3G in Vietnam as well as mobile features and entertainments.

During the event, the organising committee will also hold a jobs fair to help bring potential employees and businesses together.

Many famous mobile brands such as Sony, Motorola, Alcatel and LG will compete for the ‘most attractive mobile products’ award, sponsored by the Xa Hoi Thong Tin (Information Society) Magazine and the Online newspaper VnMedia.-VNA
