A fair displaying Vietnamese high-quality goods and traditional products from many localities throughout the country will take place in Hanoi from October 10-13, according to the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.

Featuring about 300 booths, the fair aims to mark the 60th anniversary of the capital city’s liberation and the 10th anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day.

Nguyen Thu Trang from the centre for business integration and development said the event is expected to attract more attention from consumers to made-in-Vietnam goods, while further promoting the campaign “Vietnamese people priorities using Vietnamese goods”, she added.

According to Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Standards and Consumer Protection Association, since it was launched over 5 years ago, the campaign has contributed to changing consumers’ awareness of Vietnamese ware as well as their shopping habits.

More and more locally-made products have been sold in supermarkets and shopping centres, gaining the trust and support of consumers.

The fair will offer a good chance for domestic enterprises to bring their products closer to consumers, Hung said.

In the framework of the event, consumer meetings and workshops will be held, focusing on how to effectively access customers and boost market links.-VNA
