Hanoi's CPI falls in November
There
was a sudden change in September attributed to increased education
costs at the beginning of the new academic year, followed by a slight
increase of 0.04 percent in October.
Among the 11
groups of products and services in the CPI basket, a decline was
recorded in three groups: restaurants and soft drinks (down 0.11
percent), housing and building materials, electricity, water and fuel
(down 0.84 percent) and transport services (down 2.93 percent).
One group remained unchanged and the seven remaining groups rose from 0.02 percent to 0.42 percent.
CPI of housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials
dropped by 0.84 percent due to falling kerosene prices. From the
beginning of November, the gas price also dropped 40,000 VND per 12kg
canister. Steel prices also saw a slight decline.
Restaurants and catering services experienced a decline of 0.11 percent
due to the falling price of foodstuffs such as rice, poultry meat and
vegetables.-VNA
