Vice Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee Huynh Cach Mang made the remark while meeting with visiting Deputy Governor of Guangdong province Lan Fo’an on November 7.
Mang said his city attaches importance to cooperation for development with Chinese localities.
HCM City and Guangdong should step up sharing experience in economics, trade, improving manpower quality, or addressing development challenges, he noted.
Presenting the potential and strength of Guangdong, Lan expressed his hope for stronger cooperation with the southern city of Vietnam in economics, trade, education and tourism.
Relevant agencies of the two sides need to enhance delegation exchanges along with partnerships in education, culture and tourism, he added.-VNA
