HCM City to host ASEAN police football tournament
Five football teams from the police forces of Vietnam, Laos,
Thailand, Cambodia and Australia will participate in the ASEAN Open
Football Tournament 2012, which will take place in Ho Chi Minh City
from August 22-30.

The event, hosted by the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security is to mark the 67 th anniversary of National Day and the founding of the Vietnam People’s Public Security.
According to Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Quang Ben, the event will provide public security forces of ASEAN nations with the opportunity to exchange and further strengthen cooperation in fighting crimes and ensuring social security and order.
The event will also help to intensify understanding and solidarity between regional security forces with that of Australia , Ben said.-VNA
