Heritage trees recognised in Dak Lak

(Lagerstroemia speciosa) trees in Dak Lak province as Heritage Trees.

They are the first official Heritage Trees in the Central Highlands.
The trees, which started growing in Dak Lak's Kroa B village, Cuor Dang commune 200 years ago, are 30m tall and 3.5m in diameter. The heritage recognition aims to raise awareness about the value of protecting nature in the local community.
According to VACNE, 25 species of trees have been recognised as Vietnam Heritage Trees in the Red River Delta.-VNA
