Hanoi (VNA) - Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Kover Laszlo has expressed his support to the funding for several key projects in Vietnam provided by the Hungarian government, including those in economics, trade, health care, education and energy.

Meeting Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in Hanoi on November 9, Laszlo informed the host of the outcomes of his talks and meetings with Vietnamese leaders.

He vowed to continue working closely with the Vietnamese legislature, promoting ties between the two ruling Parties and serving as a bridge for the relationship between the European Union and Vietnam.

Party General Secretary Trong, for his part, hailed the visit as a significant milestone to develop the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation between the two nations.

He thanked the NA, government and people of Hungary for their support to the Vietnamese nationals living and working in the country.

In its foreign policy, Vietnam continually treasures ties with traditional friends, including Hungary, he said, adding that Vietnam is determined to further strengthen ties between the two nations, especially between the two legislatures.-VNA
