Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Indian Embassy to Thailand has organised the 3rd International Day of Yoga event to promote the art of yoga in the Kingdom.

The embassy and Chulalongkorn University have jointly hosted an event to mark the International Day of Yoga, which falls on June 21 of every year, in front of the statues of His Majesty King Rama V and His Majesty King Rama VI.

Thai Deputy Prime Minister Gen Tanasak Patimapragorn presided over the opening ceremony where he was joined by the Indian ambassador and those from other foreign embassies.

The objective is to promote the ancient knowledge of the Indian yoga which helps people to improve their concentration and to be in a peaceful state of mind.-VNA
