Singapore (VNA) - Indonesian authorities have arrested six suspects over an alleged plot to attack Singapore’s Marina Bay by firing a rocket from Indonesia’s Batam island, the “Today online” newspaper reported on August 5.

Police chief of Batam, Bou Rafli Amar said the suspects aged 19 to 46 were arrested by Indonesia’s counter-terrorism squad in different places in Batam. The group is said to have links to Bahrun Naim, the mastermind behind the attacks in Jakarta earlier this year.

He said the suspects planned the attack but failed, however, he did not know the time that the suspects planned to carry out the attack.-VNA
