More than 100 sparkling stalls from 30 jewellery providers worldwide are showcasing newest designs at the Jakarta International Jewellery Fair 2015 in Indonesia from May 7 to 10.

The event also presents jewellery-making machines and other handicrafts along with several entertainment activities and talk shows guiding gemstone identification.

According to Executive Director of the Gold Traders Association and Permata Indonesia (APEPI) Iskandar Hussein, the fair aims to promote the Indonesian luxury industry and helping the domestic enterprises to establish wider business network.

After concluding in Jakarta, the International Jewellery Fair 2015 is scheduled to take place in Indonesia's second-largest city Surabaya on October 22-25.

Indonesia’s jewellery export revenue increased more than 70 percent in the last five years with gemstone items accounting for almost 40 percent of the revenue.-VNA
