Hanoi (VNA) – Indonesian President Joko Widodo will begin histhree-day official visit to India on December 11, reported the Institute ofDefence Study and Analyses (IDSA).
This is the first high-level official visit between two countries since bothIndian Prime Minister Narenda Modi and Indonesian President Joko Widodo tookoffice in 2014.
According tothe IDSA, the partnership of two countries thrives after the signing of thestrategic cooperation deal by former Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyonoand former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as well as the increase of leaders’visits.
President Widodo’s visit is expected to create momentum for boosting the two countries’cooperation.
India and Indonesia currently share large demands and potential in Indo-Pacificcooperation, according to the IDSA.-VNA
