Indonesia will receive about 10 billion USD from 4 million Indonesian workers in various countries across Asia and Europe in 2013.

The large amount of remittances will help the state provide welfare for citizens through the development of infrastructure and other beneficial projects, Deputy Head of the Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers Overseas (BNP2TKI) Agustin Subiantoro said.

She highlighted that BNP2TKI is ready to provide guidance and training for people intending to work abroad, as well as offering protection for the workers from the time of their departure to their return home.-VNA
