Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime Minister has approved an infrastructure project to improve regional connection in the central region with the focus on the central coast province of Quang Nam.

The 4-year project will build about 36.32 kilometres of roads with a total investment of 32.92 million USD sourced from the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF), an ODA loan programme of the Government of the Republic of Korea.

Its objects is to improve transportation linkages between central and Central Highlands provinces and connect the Bo Y Border Gate in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum with Ky Ha Port, Chu Lai International Airport and Chu Lai Open Economic Zone in Quang Nam province, and Dung Quat Economic Zone in the central coast province of Quang Ngai.

It will also support the socio-economic development around the project areas and boost non-agricultural and industry sectors in the region.-VNA
