for a two-day conference on paediatrics among Southeast Asian nations
and between Vietnam and Australia.
Information and updated technologies applied in treatment of children’s diseases were highlighted by delegates coming from Australia, the United States, Germany, Italy, France, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of Central Paediatrics Hospital Nguyen Thanh Liem said that this is a remarkable event for regional and international paediatrics, acknowledging quantum leap forward in the methods to treat children’s diseases.
Vietnam is one of the leading countries in the endoscopic surgery in the Southeast Asian region, however, the country is still facing difficulties in diagnoses and treatment of newly-complicated diseases.
The conference will last till October 11 and will seek new approaches for the diagnoses and treatment of children’s diseases.
Before the conference, regional paediatricians visited the Central Paediatrics Hospital and monitored a series of endoscopic surgeries by Vietnamese and international leading experts./.
