The Germany-Vietnam Friendship Association (GAFA) has recently held an international seminar on the future of the solidarity with Vietnam in Duesseldorf, Germany.

The Vietnamese delegation to the event was led by General Secretary of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations Nguyen Thi Hoang Van.

The seminar also drew the participation of representatives from associations for friendship and solidarity with Vietnam from France, Belgium, Swiss and Denmark.

According to organisers, the seminar aimed to seek new orientations and ideas for the future of the solidarity with Vietnam in the context of drastic changes in the Vietnam and world situations as well as Vietnam’s partial integration into the global economy.

In his opening remark, GAFA President Prof. Dr. Guenter Giesenfeld said that Vietnam is a moving country with many fundamental changes, expressing his belief in the prospects of the solidarity with Vietnam.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh stated that in the current equal partnership relations, the associations for friendship with Vietnam can do many things for Vietnam, including providing information on bilateral ties, particularly in culture and science.-VNA
