More than 50 participants, both local and international, have registered to take part in the annual event, according to organisers.
There are two categories at the event. Professionals will race for 3,200m following a W-shaped track while amateurs will cover the same distance but following a figure of eight track.
Phan Thiet is said to be the most beautiful place for windsurfing in Vietnam . The city has hosted a number of tournaments including the annual Fun Cup International Windsurf Race and the Professional Windsurfers Association's World Cup event.-VNA
