The Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association (JVFA) in Japan’s Kansai region and the Tokyo Stationery Industry Association (TSIA) have presented learning tools worth nearly 9 million JPY (94,000 USD) to students in Vietnam’s northern mountainous province of Lao Cai.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan received the gifts at a ceremony in Tokyo on March 7.

Speaking at the ceremony, JVFA President Sadao Wada expressed his hope that the gifts will reach the hands of those in need as soon as possible, adding this is one of the practical activities to help promote the friendship between the two nations.

TSIA President Yoshihisa Imaizumi said the presents also aim to express appreciation of Vietnamese workers who are working for his association’s factories in Vietnam .

Vietnamese Ambassador Doan Xuan Hung thanked the two associations for their gifts, saying that the deed will help strengthen the friendship, mutual understanding and trust between the two peoples.-VNA
