A Vietnamese crewman falling from a height of 8 metres while working on a Panama-flagged ship had his life saved by the Japanese coastal patrol force on September 20.

The fall-off made 32-year-old Tran Van Thuy’s movability incapable and he was airlifted to Iojima island for intensive treatment from Japanese doctors there.

Later, he was brought back to the ship as the treatment worked.
