The 9 million USD plant of the Belmont Manufacturing Limited Company, a subsidiary of Japan’s Takara Belmont, was put into operation on October 7 in the southern province of Dong Nai.

Located in the Long Duc industrial zone, Long Thanh district, the plant is expected to produce 15,000 products, including equipment and chairs used in dentistry.

The Long Duc industrial zone has attracted 16 projects, of which 15 belong to Japanese investors with a total capital of 617 million USD.

According to Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Phan Thi My Thanh, the province’s 31 industrial zones have to date attracted more than 1,200 projects, including 900 foreign-invested ones from 39 countries and territories.

In the first nine months of this year, there were 28 Japanese businesses investing in Dong Nai with more than 200 million USD, accounting for 70 percent of the province’s total investment capital. The businesses are expected to help the province attract more Japanese investors.

Dong Nai’s authorities also pledge to create all favourable conditions for businesses to operate effectively in the province.-VNA
