Binh Duong (VNA) - Japan took the lead in the team rankings of the Binh Duong International Women's Cycling Tournament – Biwase Cup 2016, which concluded on March 16.

The Japanese team was followed by Thailand and Biwase Binh Duong.

Japanese cyclist Kaneko Hiromi secured the yellow jersey for the race’s individual winner. The red jersey or “Queen of Mountain” title belonged to Nguyen Thi Thi from Vietnam.

The white shirt for outstanding young cyclist went to Vietnamese Pham Hong Nhung, while Japanese Miho Yoshikawa earned the “Miss Beauty” title, or the pink jersey.

The Biwase Cup 2016, the sixth of its kind, attracted the participation of 67 cyclists from eight local teams and six foreign teams from Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Kazakhstan.

Setting off on March 8, the tour covered 795km across nine stages through Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan, before finishing in Binh Duong province.-VNA
