The Kyocera Mita group of Japan has decided to invest 250 million USD in building a factory to produce laser and multifunctional printers in Vietnam.

Construction of the factory is scheduled to start in the autumn of 2011 on an area of 70,000 sq.m. in an industrial zone of northern Hai Phong city at an initial investment capital of 62.5 million USD.

The factory is expected to begin operation in October 2012 with a capacity of 150,000 units which will increase to 450,000 in 2016.

The factory will recruit 1,000 workers at first and will increase to 5,000 in 2016.

In July, the group will set up the Kyocera Mita Vietnam Technology with an investment capital of 55 million USD to operate the new factory./.
