Leaders of the southern Kien Giang province and Cambodia’s Preah Sihanouk province have signed an agreement on multifaceted cooperation in the 2013-2014 period.

The signing ceremony was in the framework of the conference reviewing the previous term, held in Rach Gia city, Kien Giang province on June 14.

The leaders highly valued the efforts and determination of the two sides’ authorities, armed forces and peoples in implementing the agreements and treaties signed by the two countries previously.

During the 2011-2012 period, the two provinces witnessed numerous encouraging achievements in shared border and sea affairs, especially the regular updates of crimes that could harm the two nations’ solidarity.

According to the new agreement, Kien Giang and Preah Sihanouk provinces will continue cooperating in security and border order; exhumation and repatriation of the remains of Vietnamese martyrs; commerce; tourism, agriculture and aquaculture, healthcare and culture-society.-VNA
