The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) held an exhibition featuring the land, people and culture of Vietnam in Gyeonggi province, the Republic of Korea, on Jan. 18.

Under the theme “Friendship – the millennial relations”, the exhibition forms part of activities to mark the 20 th anniversary of the Vietnam-RoK diplomatic ties.

The event was honoured with the presence of President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency Park Dae-won and Vietnamese Ambassador in RoK Tran Trong Toan.

“We selected Vietnam as the first country in the chain of exhibitions in 2012 since the two countries have conducted many cooperative programmes,” KOICA President Park Dae-won said.

According to Ambassador Toan, the exhibition helps RoK people better understand Vietnam , especially at a time when the country receives the largest amount of official development assistance from the RoK and the two countries’ relations have been elevated to the strategic partnership.

The visitors will have a chance to enjoy Vietnamese traditional songs staged by Vietnamese artists.

Within the framework of the exhibition, there will be a workshop introducing traditional culture and the unique cuisine of Vietnam .

The display will last until April. 28./.
