Lao Cai: 14 more communes to connect to national grid
An additional 714 households in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai will gain access to electricity later this year.
Illustrative image (Source: VNA)This is the outcome of a project launched in the locality on January 16, and will benefit 14 hamlets in Muong Khuong district’s Lung Khau Nhin, Cao Son and La Pan Tan communes.
Secretary of the local Party Committee Nguyen Van Vinh hailed the significance of the project, which reflects the attention of the Party, State and the Northern Power Corporation to ethnic people in Muong Khuong district.
The project will help boost socio-economic development and poverty reduction in the district’s disadvantaged communes, and improve locals’ spiritual lives, he added.-VNA
