Attending the ceremony were Party General Secretary and State President Choummaly Sayasone, Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong and NA Chairman Pany Yathotou, among others.
During the 21-day session, deputies debated and approved measures on important issues, including government reports on socio-economic development, state budget plans and monetary policy in the 2014-2015 fiscal year and the Prime Minister’s proposal to appoint several new cabinet members.
They also discussed and approved a number of new and revised laws, including the Law on Cybercrime Combat and Prevention, the Law on Competition, the revised Education Law, the revised Law on the National Assembly, the Law on Local People’s Councils and the revised Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and Local People’s Council Members.-VNA
