Hanoi (VNA) - Lawmakers discussed in groups the relieving of duty of the current Prime Minister in the morning of April 6, as part of the agenda of the 13th National Assembly’s last meeting.

President Tran Dai Quang delivered a proposal of the removal to the parliament, affirming that Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung who was elected at the first session of the 13th NA has fulfilled his assigned term-long tasks.

Due to the required Party and State high-profile personnel arrangements after the 12th National Party Congress, the President submitted the discharge to the NA for approval.

In the afternoon, the NA will hear the NA Standing Committee’s report on outcomes of group discussions on the related issue.

The relieving will be conducted through a secret ballot.

The President will submit a nomination list or the new PM to the NA.

On April 7 morning, the NA will elect the new Prime Minister.-VNA
