As many as 150 Overseas Vietnamese (OV) from 30 countries and territories worldwide will attend the first meeting for leaders of OV organisations from Nov. 11-13 in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.

Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Thanh Son, Head of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs said on Nov. 8 that the event offers participants a chance to exchange experiences in effectively promoting the role of OV organisations in communities and people’s lives, raising solidarity among OVs to contribute to host countries and support Vietnam’s international integration and development.

Delegates will be presented with reports on the activities of OV organisations and work out an operational orientation for the next period. They will be also introduced to the Resolution of the 11 th National Party Congress, and policies of the Party and State about Vietnamese people living abroad.

As part of the event, delegates will enjoy a music show staged by famous foreign and domestic performers on the evening of Nov. 12, and visit popular tourist sites in the locality./.
