Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – The Royal Malaysia Police on July 5 announced the reshuffle, transfer and promotion plan of 46 posts, including senior police officers.

The changes will be effective from August 7, said Datin Asmawati Ahmad, corporation communications chief of the Royal Malaysia Police.

Director of the Criminal Investigation Department Mohmad Salleh will be transferred to the Narcotics Crimes Investigation Department, which was recently alleged to have links with drug organisations. His current post will be taken over by Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd, police chief of Johor state.

Kamarul Zaman Mamat, chief of Johor Criminal Investigation Department, and Mohd Zakaria Ahmad, Johor deputy police chief, are appointed as new deputy directors of the Narcotics Crimes Investigation Department.-VNA
