The Belgian said he is surprised by an airport reception by fans, describing it as incredible and emotional.

"Some people will ask me why I came to Vietnam . My reply after the reception is: Why not?," the 26-year-old said.

He said that he is impressed that the passion Vietnamese have for football.

Today, Kompany will visit SOS school in Go Vap District where he will instruct children.
