Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan had a working session in Hanoi on September 8 with Christopher Matlhako, the South African Communist Party (SACP)’s Secretary of External Relations.

Matlhako, who is in Hanoi to attend the Asia-Pacific Regional Conference for Solidarity with Cuba, informed his host of South Africa and the SACP’s current context.

He pledged to do his utmost to enhance solidarity and friendship between the two Parties and peoples, considering it an important political foundation to boost the two countries’ economic, trade and investment ties.

He also discussed specific measures to intensify bilateral relations with his host.

For his part, Quan took the occasion to thank the South African Communist Party and people for supporting Vietnam’s past struggle for national liberation and current nation-building and safeguarding.-VNA
