A memorial to President Ho Chi Minh was inaugurated on Aug. 30 in Nong On village in Udon Thani province of Thailand , where he lived and worked in 1928 during his journey for national salvation.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Education and Training Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Bui The Duc hailed relevant Vietnamese and Thai agencies for coordinating in upgrading and building the historical site, contributing to boosting friendship between the two people.

Udon Thani Governor Khomsan Ekachai said the memorial to President Ho Chi Minh was of historical significance and the province will preserve the site for ever.

The 6,400 sq. m site covers two parts, namely the main house, where President Ho Chi Minh used to live and an area for displaying objects and documents relating to President Ho as well as for film screening./.
