Microsoft Mobile Vietnam on June 18 officially inaugurated its first authorised reseller store in Vietnam, which is run by its local partner FPT Corporation.

The store is located at No. 63 Ly Thuong Kiet street, Hanoi. It will sell the corporation's products, including Lumia phones, feature phones, as well as Microsoft software products such as Office 365.

At the store, customers can also experience and understand integrated data access on mobile devices and the latest news updates on Microsoft's applications and services at Live Experience Table area.

"Vietnam is a key focus market for phone businesses. Microsoft has made significant investments in changing the brand from Nokia to Microsoft and the new re-branded store is a first step in that direction," said Vinod Muralidharan, Chief Representative of Microsoft Mobile in Vietnam.

"The Lumia products are now manufactured by Microsoft and carry the same quality assurance as before. The feature phones continue to be produced by Microsoft under the Nokia brand. Microsoft is investing in re-branding hundreds of retail stores in Vietnam in the coming weeks as a commitment to Vietnamese consumers and partners."

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Microsoft Vietnam General Director Vu Minh Tri said that the inauguration is a premise for the corporation to offer its personal computing and cloud services to individual users through Lumia phones and Office 365.

He also said that the cooperation between Microsoft and FPT will create a solid foundation for what the enterprise is set to bring to Vietnamese market with Windows 10 launch in the coming weeks.-VNA
