Minh is the only player in the world top 10 to compete at the event which is one of the Grand Prix Gold system organised by the Badminton World Federation.
In the first round, Minh, who is now playing for Pune Pistons in the Indian Badminton League, will for the first time take on Hsun Chih Yang of the host, who ranks 146th in the world.
The 200,000 USD tournament will give bonuses to top athletes in the singles, doubles and mixed doubles events.-VNA
