The Japanese delegation, led by Shimojo, held talks with Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Minister of National Defence, earlier in the day.
Both sides agreed to foster ties through delegation exchanges, training and searching for cooperation opportunities in policy research, and search-and-rescue activities at sea./.
