Ministries, localities urged to work seriously after Tet
Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime Minister issued a document demanding ministries and
localities to implement their assigned tasks and missions immediately and
avoiding indulgence in Tet-post playful activities.
In the document,
he asked public servants to obey disciplines and regulations under the
Government’s Instruction No 26/CT-TTg and focus on their work immediately after
the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival, creating the most favourable conditions for
production and business. They were also requested to not go to festivals during
working hours.
The Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development will instruct localities to boost agricultural,
forestry and seafood production while the Ministry of Industry and Trade will
instruct the acceleration of industrial production activities and the effective
operation of reservoirs to ensure sufficient water for agricultural production.
The Ministry of
Transport and the National Traffic Safety Committee were urged to coordinate
with localities and relevant forces to increase inspection of transport
business in order to ensure traffic safety and order during the post-Tet
festive season.
The Ministry of
Culture, Sports and Tourism and localities were called to tighten the
management and organisation of festivals, ensuring they take place economically
and healthily with traditional cultural values preserved.
The Prime
Minister also asked the Ministry of Health to prepare enough staff, drugs and
equipment for treatment, prevent diseases, increase checks on food safety at
tourist sites and continue measures against harms of alcoholic drinks.
The Ministry of
Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs will work with localities to grasp post-Tet
labour situation at enterprises, especially those in industrial parks, while the
Ministry of Public Security will direct its units to focus on ensuring social safety
and order, taking strict punishments on overloaded coaches and gambling of all
forms, as well as preventing fires and explosions.
The Ministry of National Defence was called to implement recruitment plans and coordinate with the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs to grasp the situation to have appropriate measures
to deal with issues relating to sovereignty, external relations and citizen
protection.
The Government
leader asked the Ministry of Information and Communications and news agencies to
promote information work to help increase people’ eagerness for their work.
He also called
on professional associations, business community, entrepreneurs and all people
to overcome challenges to have effective production, investment and business.-VNA
