The sixth pageant, co-organised by the Vietnam Gemstones, Jewelry and Handicraft Association and Golden Fashion magazine, aims to honour the beauty of Vietnamese women combined with exquisite jewelry collections made by talented craftsmen.
The competition is for girls aged between 18 and 27 years old who are Vietnamese citizens working in Vietnam or foreign countries.
Candidates must be above 1.6 metres tall, not married, graduated from high school and have undergone no cosmetic surgery.
The organising board will directly choose candidates from cities and provinces, including Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.
After the qualifying stage, the best 30 candidates will enter the final round to be held on Tuan Chau Island in Ha Long city on July 20.
The winner will receive 300 million VND while the first and second runners-up will be awarded 100 million VND and 80 million VND respectively.
Two others listed on top five will be given 30 million VND.-VNA
