Vietnamese Party, State, Government and National Assembly leaders continued to receive congratulatory messages from leaders of foreign countries and international organisations for the country’s 66 th National Day (Sept. 2, 1945-2011).

The messages came from First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee, President of the State Council and the Council of Ministers Raul Castro Ruz, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, Bahraini King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khilifa, Belarusian President Alexander Lucasenco and Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and National Assembly Chairman Tsetska Tsacheva.

Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Queen of the Netherlands Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard, Greek President Karolos Papoulias, Moroccan King Mohammed VI, Mongolian Prime Minister Sukhbaatarin Batbold, Mozambique Prime Minister Aires Baptista Bonifacio Ali, Czech President Vaclav Klaus, Swiss President Micheline Calmy-Rey, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Slovenian President Danilo Turk and Prime Minister Borut Pahor, and Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad cabled greetings to their Vietnamese counterparts.

The Vietnamese leaders were also congratulated by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the International Francophone Organisation (OIF) Abdou Diouf, and Secretary-General of the Organisation in Solidarity with the People of Africa, Asia and Latin America (OSPAAAL).

On this occasion, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also received congratulations from his counterparts of Cuba , Belarus , Bulgaria , Greece , Mauritania and Slovenia. /.
