Special missions from Vietnam and Laos, in charge of repatriating the remains of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers fallen in combat in Laos, met in Dong Ha city, in the central province of Quang Tri, on Aug. 25.

The two sides agreed to exert more efforts in order to complete the repatriation of Vietnamese soldiers’ remains by 2011.

They also agreed to intensify campaigns to mobilise Laotians to provide information and active assistance to searches.

Over the past years, Quang Tri’s search team has repatriated and reburied more than 2,120 sets of remains of Vietnamese soldiers at the Road 9 National Cemetery in the province./.
