More than 65,000 Vietnamese workers have been sent to work abroad in the first 10 months of this year, reported the Department for Overseas Labour Management under the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs on November 5.

Of the number, more than 24,500 labourers are working in Taiwan ( China ) while nearly 9,000 others are employed in the Republic of Korea . The remaining workers are in Japan , Laos , Malaysia , Cambodia , Macau , Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Particularly, 360 workers have returned to Libya .

The total number of guest workers sent abroad in the first 10 months of 2012 is equal to 87 percent of the number in the same period last year, reaching 72.4 percent of the year’s target.-VNA
