The average daily water usage now reaches 122 litres per person, up 3.3 percent over the same period of 2010. The water generating capacity stands at 1.5 million cu.m per day, an increase from 1.4 million cu.m per day in 2010.
However, the inner city still suffers from a high rate of water loss, standing at 38.5 percent due to a series of projects to install and relocate water pipes, widespread water theft and broken water pipes./.
