The Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) said it would subpoena 35 more witnesses and civil parties between July 13 and August 26 to the upcoming trial for the former Khmer Rouge prison chief Kaing Guek Eav.

According to ECCC, the summoned, including 22 victims and 13 witnesses will be questioned on issues relating to the notorious Tuol Sleng prison, also known as Jail S21, where Kaing Guek Eav, dubbed Duch, savagely tortured and killed prisoners.

The witnesses will include David Chandler, a US expert on the Khmer Rouge regime and its leaders./.
