Hanoi (VNA) – Myanmar’s Union Parliament reopened its 13th regular session in the capital of Nay Pyi Taw on November 16, one week after the general election.

Aside from the remaining bills waiting for approval as scheduled before the current term of the parliament ends on January 30, 2016, the session discussed additional state budget allotment bill for the 2015-2016 fiscal year.

Prior to the Union Parliament session, the sessions of the country’s two houses also opened on the same day.

At the 12th session held from January 19 to August 28, the Union Parliament approved 52 draft laws.-VNA
