The 13th National Assembly’s sixth session focused on the implementation of socio-economic development plan and law-making work on its first working day on October 21.

In the morning session, law makers heard the country’s socio-economic situation in 2013, the outcomes of the three-year implementation of the 2011-2015 plan, and the 2014-2015 tasks, which were presented by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

They listened to the appraisal of the implementation of the NA Resolution on socio-economic development plan in 2013 and in the 2011-2013 period as well as the socio-economic development plan for 2014, delivered by Nguyen Van Giau, head of the NA Economics Committee.

In the afternoon session, deputies discussed the disputed contents of the bill on employment.

The opening ceremony of the NA’s sixth session, also the last sitting this year, was broadcast live on the Vietnam Television and Radio the Voice of Vietnam.-VNA
