A number of national assembly deputies have requested more details and clearer explanations be provided at the ongoing 8th session of the 13th legislature.

The recommendation was made in response to a report on the implementation of NA resolutions presented Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on November 17.

According to representative from the northern city of Hai Phong, Tran Ngoc Vinh, the report is an overall improvement of the meeting’s proceedings, summarising the impact of the resolutions so far, including strength and weakness.

However, many key issues were not analysed deeply enough, such as policies on welfare and rural development, and the impacts of counterfeit goods, he said. Furthermore, the report lacked details on the current status, background and rationale, the measures being implemented and the estimated time required to tackle the issues.

Representative from the southern province of Bac Lieu, Vo Thi Hong Thoai, was of the same opinion, noting that the report did not adequately evaluate the implementation process in some fields, such as administrative reform.-VNA
