Lawmakers gathered in a plenary session of the legislature’s ongoing sitting on October 29 to discuss some draft laws.

The National Assembly deputies heard a report on the revised Notary Public Law and a report on the verification of the law.

The NA Standing Committee presented its report on the draft law on plant protection and quarantine.

During the hearing, 21 deputies from 21 provinces and cities voiced their opinions.

The NA deputies then discussed law violation, crime prevention and fighting, the work of the Head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy and the Judge of the Supreme People’s Court, as well as verdict enforcement.

They also mentioned the implementation of the NA’s Resolution No. 31/2012/QH13 and preventing and combating corruption in 2013.

On October 30, the NA will convene another plenary session to discuss some contents of the amended Bidding Law.

The sixth session of the 13th National Assembly opened in Hanoi on October 21, focusing once again on the country’s important socio-economic development decisions.

During the 40-day sitting, the deputies are scheduled to examine the Government’s report on the country’s economic restructuring master plan, review three years of implementation of national target programmes for 2011-2015 and discuss the supplementary issuance of Government bonds to fund a number of important and urgent projects.

The NA will ratify the Government’s proposed personnel, elect positions for some NA agencies and decide other issues.-VNA
