National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan paid a working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from March 25-29.

During her visit, Ngan held talks with Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council (FNC) Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr. The two sides discussed measures to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the two parliaments as well as boost exchanges between parliamentarians.

The Vietnamese NA Vice Chairwoman suggested the two sides foster cooperation based on existing advantages, focusing on food and energy security, and encourage UAE investors to come to Vietnam .

She expressed hope that the UAE will support the establishment of a high-quality vocational training centre in Vietnam and continue recruiting Vietnamese workers.

The FNC leader applauded the visit, saying that it will open up a new stage in the relationship between the two countries and the two parliaments in particular.

He stressed that the UAE attaches important to developing its friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam , especially in trade and labour.

During her stay in the UAE, NA Vice Chairman Ngan met with Vietnamese workers in the UAE. She also had working sessions with the chairmen of the DP World Seaport Group and IGG Company, which have recruited the largest numbers of Vietnamese workers.-VNA
