NA Vice President meets OV in Russia
Vice President of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong reviewed the domestic political and socio-economic situation while meeting with overseas Vietnamese (OV) in Russia on September 20.
At the meeting (Photo: VNA)She noted that Vietnam is preparing for Party Congresses at all levels towards the 12th National Party Congress in early 2016.
Despite regional and global economic fluctuations, Vietnam has proactively overcome difficulties and the country’s economic growth is forecast to exceed 6 percent, she said.
She added that the Vietnamese expatriates in Russia have formed a creative and leading community in all fields related to domestic affairs.
Representatives from the Vietnamese community in Russia said OV have managed to increase competitiveness and adaptation in the context of the host’s economic downturn.
During her working visit to Russia from September 19-25, NA Vice President Tong Thi Phong laid wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Square, and the Tomb of Unknown Soldiers, and visited the Lenin Monument in Moscow.-VNA
