An exhibition of photographs depicting the history of the National Assembly and leaders opened on May 10 in Dong Xoai township in the southern province of Binh Phuoc .

The event, organised by the Vietnam News Agency and the provincial People's Committee, seeks to review the foundation and development of the assembly since 1946 and provide voters with information about the upcoming 13th NA vote on May 22.

It features 120 colour and black and white photos about the house's activities under the title of Vietnam 's National Assembly – Historical Milestones and about the province's socio-economic development.

Nguyen Cong Toan, director of the province's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the event was important in that it would help people in Binh Phuoc know more about their parliament.
