Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on May 20 appointed Chairman of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Chatib Basri as Finance Minister.

Over the past month, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa temporarily acted finance minister, replacing Agus Martowardojo, who was appointed as Governor of the Bank Indonesia for the 2013-2018 term.

At present, there hasn’t been any candidate for the position of the BKPM Chairman.-VNA
